My grandmother was this Kona Cowgirl. That's her, in the picture, with the heart on the horse. She was Kapua Wall and she came from a ranching family in Kona. She was born on the slopes of Hualalai and she was a sharp shooter, a working Cowgirl who chased cattle all over Kona. My Nana loved sharing island hospitality and loved a good party with lots of Hawaiian music.
